Tech Support: Resetting
Refilled Cartridges
When using a newly refilled cartridge can confuse your printer. The printer will continue to read the cartridge as empty, the best way to remove the message is by "tricking" the printer into believing that the refilled cartridge is full again.
Here is how it works:
1. The contacts could be dirty. Lightly soak a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and gently wipe the copper contacts.
You may also need to clean the contact on your printer.
|
|
2. Replace & leave the cartridge in the
printer.
3. Turn off your printer.
4. Unplug the printer
cable (or USB cable) from the back of the printer.
 |
|
5. Shut down
your entire system for about 5 minutes.
6. Reboot your computer
and re-plug the USB cable into the printer.
7. When the message
comes up asking if the cartridge has been replaced, select yes.
8. Try a test print page to see if the message has been removed.

| >>> Note |
* If this tip does not work, you can still use your refilled cartridge successfully. But you need pay close attention to see when your cartridge needs to be refilled again. As the cartridge begins to run low on ink the vibrancy of the ink will lessen and overtime the cartridge will stop printing.
*Not all refilled cartridges can be reset this way.
