How to Save Energy by Putting Your Monitor to Sleep

By turning on this function, you will be putting your monitor to sleep after your computer has been idle for the designated time. To "wake" your monitor, you can either move your mouse or press any key on the keyboard.

Follow These Step-by-Step instructions:

1. Right Click any where on the desktop. Click Properties.

2. In the Display Properties box, select the Screen Saver tab.

3. Click Power.

4. Under Turn Off Monitor, select from the drop down menu a reasonable time to automatically turn off your monitor.

5. Click OK

>>> Note
* Depending on versions of Windows, the process and result could be different.
