Photo Puzzles
These quick and easy puzzles make a great family project or coffee table game. They're a great way to make memories
into a fun, hands-on activity.
|
To make puzzles,
-
Print out your
favorite picture on a sheet of glossy photo paper, preferably in a
large size such as 8.5 x 11. Glue the photo down to a piece of cardboard using a glue stick.
The ideal piece of cardboard would be thinker than a tissue box, and thinner than a moving box.
-
Once dried, cut the excess cardboard
so that all that remains is the photo.
-
On the back, use a ruler to measure your dimensions.
Once measured, draw a grid (a pencil is recommended) on the back, making sure that all the boxes are roughly the same size. A calculator
is helpful in dividing up your dimensions evenly.
-
Now draw your jigsaw puzzle details. If you need help,
look to a household puzzle for guidance. Once you have drawn your puzzle designs, you can erase any lines
that you don't plan on cutting. This will also make the back of the puzzle pieces look much cleaner.
-
Now you're ready to cut. An x-acto knife is probably the
best tool for the job. Once you're finished cutting, you've got a great photo puzzle!
