First step of general troubleshooting for all brands
If you see a “Replace Cartridge” error message after your cartridge has been refilled, follow the instructions below:
- Remove all cartridges
- Clean the print head with alcohol (the print head is the metal circuitry found on the cartridge or printer depending upon the model).
- Unplug the printer’s power cord and wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer.
- Re-insert the cartridges.
- Print a test page.
