InkPedia - Thermal Inkjet Process
Thermal Inkjet Process
Commonly used by HP (Hewlett Packard) and Canon, this method uses heat to spray ink onto paper. After ink fills the nozzle, tiny resistors heat the ink forming a bubble. As the bubble expands, the pressure forces the bubble to burst onto paper. As the heating element cools, new ink is pulled from the cartridge to the print head to start the process again.
